Giraffe's Size, Height, Speed and Weight
Giraffes are the tallest animals on Earth. Male Giraffes can reach up to 18 feet tall, and females can reach a maximum of 14 feet tall. Baby giraffes, known as calves, are about 6 feet tall just at birth! They can weigh as much as 155 lbs. when their born! After the calves first birthday, it can grow up to 10 ft. tall! Most Giraffes weigh from 2,400 and 4250 pounds!
In addition, these exotic animals also have long tongues, which an be extended more than 45 centimeters! It's very useful, and helps them grasp twigs and leaves more easily. Their horn tips, which are located on the top of their head, are about 4-5 centimeters high. Their heart weight can reach up 22 lbs. Each bone in a giraffe can be about 10 inches (25cm), not surprising for an animal who can reach higher than a 10 ft. swimming pool!
If you look closely, you can see that these unique mammals have a ridiculously long tail of about 78-100 centimeters (31-39 inches).
